Posted : admin On 18.09.2019I haven't used them before. They open up just fine with ArcExplorer. Which I can export to something like a BMP.
But if there's a way to keep the original, I'd prefer that. I'm guessing the answer is no. I've looked around a bit and found nothing. The folks I ordered these discs from sent a mixed bag of tiffs and bip files.
Learn about.BIP files and view a list of programs that open them. I just recieved a set of orthophotos that are in BIP format? I'm mainly a LDT jocky. Is there a way to bring in these.bip files to Map? BIP files are also associated with Unknown Apple II File (found on Golden Orchard Apple II CD Rom), Blue Ink Project (Automated Architecture Inc.), ArcView Image File (ESRI) and FileViewPro. Additional types of files may also be using the BIP file extension.

When bringing in the image, under 'file typ', you will not see a BIP allowable file extension. Go to 'all file types' anyhow and select it.
