This was kind of a pointless thread and a complete waste of time. Sure some of these ideas are a little unnecessary, and maybe a bit overboard, but that doesn't mean you have to criticize them. Let people express their opinions, if you don't agree, then don't waste your time creating a big thread about it.

Maxis will know what kinds of things are unnecessary and overboard, they won't do everything we want them to. Chill out and let people post, this is the feedback section, for everybody to give feedback, it doesn't matter if it doesn't follow your standards.

However, Goober, SuperWeb is right about one thing, about the online Spore thing. First of all, it doesn't matter what you plan it to be, because Maxis is making the game, its what they plan it to be. And the fact is, if you have an online game like that you're gonna have to pay up every once and awhile.

Furthermore, MMO isn't a popular idea related to Spore. It would just bring it lower. However, I wouldn't mind the ability to travel to a friends planet every once in a while and explore with them, maybe in parties of four or five others. But a large massively multiplayer online community would just ruin the game.
