Current WPI students part of the program – that conduct campus tours and answer questions from current and prospective students – is a presence on the subreddit. Tell your friends! A subreddit is only as good as its users, so help spread the word and get the community more active. You can Remote Desktop into a computer that isn't on the wpi network and is doing the torrenting, and then transfer the files. But the torrent traffic itself is blocked on the wpi network, no exceptions.

Sophomore year I had a file download in progress when I connected to the wpi network, so it automatically attempted to resume, but got no where. I didn't get called out on it though. On the other hand, there are generous data caps.

It is quite easy to exceed them though, and my high score is something like 180gb in a single day. If you do have to download a lot at once, try to do it when the bandwidth usage on the network is lowest, such as early morning on the weekend.
